At a glance
- A kitchen renovation replaces the units and worktops and renews the plumbing, wiring and extraction behind them, so the new kitchen is not fitted over old services.
- Inside a home that is not catalogued, it usually goes through a declaración responsable at the town hall. Removing a wall that carries load adds a technician's certificate.
- New or altered wiring has to be done by an authorised installer, who issues the electrical certificate the Generalitat registers.
- In an apartment, an extractor duct through the facade involves the community of owners; work inside the kitchen alone does not.
- You choose the layout and finishes by video call, drawings and photographed samples. A free estimate comes first, then a fixed-price quote after a site visit.

What we do
We strip out the old kitchen, check and renew the plumbing and electrics behind it, and fit the new units, worktops and appliances. Where the layout changes, we plan the water, drainage and power points first and photograph them before the walls are closed.
Ventilation and the facade
Cooking extraction has to go somewhere. In a villa that is usually straightforward. In an apartment, a duct through the facade touches a shared element of the building, so the community of owners is involved. We look at the options before you choose the layout.
Planning it from abroad
You do not need to be here. We agree the layout by video and drawings, send you photos and samples of finishes, and report on progress every week. A kitchen is often part of a full renovation or a holiday-let refresh, and we can plan it either way.
What a kitchen renovation includes
Included
- Strip-out of the old kitchen, with the waste taken away and the rest of the home protected
- New water supply and drainage runs to the sink, dishwasher and washing machine positions
- New circuits for the hob, oven and sockets, with the installer's certificate
- Extraction: a ducted hood to the outside where the building allows it, or a recirculating one where it does not
- Wall and floor finishes, units, worktops, splashback and fitting of the appliances
- Photographs of the pipes and cables before the walls are closed
Not included, or arranged separately
- Appliances and units you buy yourself, which we can fit
- Changes to the building's shared risers, which need the community of owners
- Interior design, offered through a designer we work with
How a kitchen comes together
Measure and survey
On the site visit we measure the room and check the water pressure, the drainage falls, the electrical panel and where an extractor could vent.
Layout by video
We agree the layout with you on drawings and a video call, then the units, worktop and finishes from photographed samples.
Order early
Units and worktops are made to measure, so they are ordered once the layout is signed off, before the old kitchen comes out.
Services first
After the strip-out, new pipes and circuits go in and are photographed for you before any wall is closed.
Fit and finish
Walls, floor, units, worktop and appliances go in. We test every tap, drain and circuit, then send you the handover photos.

Rules and facts that apply
- Electrical work
- New installations and changes to existing ones must be carried out by an authorised installer company, which files the installation certificate with the regional authority so the installation is registered. (REBT art. 18 and ITC-BT-04; Generalitat Valenciana)
- Inside your apartment
- An owner may alter the installations inside their apartment as long as the work does not affect the building's safety, structure or exterior, or harm other owners, and must tell the community's representative beforehand. (LPH arts. 7, 10 and 17)
- Reduced IVA
- Renovation work on a private home can be taxed at 10% IVA when the home was finished at least two years before the work starts and the materials the contractor supplies cost no more than 40% of the price. We check whether your job qualifies when we quote. (LIVA art. 91.Uno.2.10; AEAT, renovation and repairs)
What to send us before the site visit
- Photos of the kitchen from each corner, and of the electrical panel
- A sketch or photo of the floor plan, with rough measurements if you have them
- The appliances you want to keep or buy, with model numbers
- In an apartment: the administrator's contact and any community rules on works
- Pictures of kitchens you like, from anywhere
Questions owners ask
Do I need a licence for a new kitchen?
Usually a declaración responsable, if the work does not touch the structure and the building is not catalogued. Opening up a wall that carries the structure needs a certificate as well. We confirm the route with the town hall before we start.
Can I choose the kitchen without being in Spain?
Yes. We agree the layout by video call and drawings, and show you materials and finishes by photo and video. If you want design help, we can introduce an interior designer we work with.
My apartment is in a block. Does the community need to approve a new kitchen?
Not for work inside your apartment alone. If a new extractor duct has to go through the facade, or work touches the shared risers, that involves the community of owners, and we prepare what they need to see.
